Operating model
Our operational strategy is designed with a single-minded focus on achieving the following objective :
Enable our clients to leverage our capabilities to build scale, drive efficiencies, reduce their operating costs and capture significant value.
A few characteristics of our operational strategy are:
-
Process-driven, as against people-driven activities
We have setup our internal processes such that each activity is pre-defined and documented. Our processes are augmented with the use of automation tools and workflows.
-
Leverage automation, to the extent feasible and cost-effective
We use various tools and automated workflows to automate the completion of tasks assigned by clients to our teams. Examples are task management tool, time tracking & recording tool, ticketing tool, etc. Clients have access to dashboards and reports, not only to monitor the status & progress of their work, but also to help them evaluate our team’s performance in performing tasks given by you.
-
Fit for purpose talent
We hire talent that is specifically sourced to meet each client’s unique needs. From college freshers to experienced talent, we have the ability to find and hire the right talent for you.
-
Flexibility to scale up and scale down
Our operating model offers tremendous flexibility and adapts to our clients’ changing requirements, with minimal operational impact. We prefer to procure resources in a pay-per-use model. This enables you to provision and de-provision resources to scale up and scale down your operations in line with work needs.
-
Low cost delivery
We provision resources that are ultra low cost, but at the same time, capable of effectively meeting the objectives which they are meant to achieve.
We operate in a Remote-First model, offering our clients tremendous flexibility, redundancy and control at reduced costs. The high-level design of our Remote-First model is described below.
Infrastructure and capabilities
Work facilities
We have begun operations in Mumbai – India’s commercial capital.
For clients requiring their offshore teams to work in formal workspaces, we have currently provisioned workspace at a business center operated by a leading service provider, which has multiple centers within Mumbai as well as in other major cities in India.
We have the ability to scale up the number of seats at business centers, as soon as we onboard additional team members to serve our clients.
These business centers are state-of-the-art, with 24-hour operations, adequate power backup, fast internet connectivity, meeting rooms, communication facilities, cafeteria, etc.
As we scale our operations, we plan to provision scalable workspace options across several centers in Mumbai, so that our team members have access to a center nearest to where they live, to minimize their commute time. Further, we have a plan to expand our operations across other major cities in India, to facilitate staff residing in those cities to continue to work locally, without having to relocate to Mumbai.
Team
Staff for your offshore teams will be identified, shortlisted and hired specifically to suit your requirements. We have identified leading job sites and recruiting agents to aid in the hiring process. We have also identified agencies that provide staff on contract for a year or a few months, to meet your temporary work demands.
Standard job descriptions have been drafted and you have an opportunity to customize the job descriptions to suit your specific talent needs.
We plan to hire and set up operations for teams across major Indian cities, to source talent close to where it is available, and to minimize staff travel and relocation.
Experienced candidates undergo a thorough background check covering their education and work experience.
We plan to hire candidates who are fluent with communicating in English.
Information Technology
We aim to optimize cost and performance, while selecting IT hardware and software.
We primarily work with the following two options, as regards the use of IT infrastructure and applications:
For option # 2, currently, we have selected a leading service provider offering Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) hosted in the US, and will provision separate instance of a cloud computer for your work. The provider offers industry benchmarked security features and services. In this option, either you or we procure the required application or tool licences for our team.
How does option # 2 work?
You will upload your data and documents into the dedicated cloud computer, which will be accessed by our team, using virtual remote desktops. Output of our team’s work will be stored in the same computer, enabling you to access those files. This will not only offer you a 24/7 access, but will also ensure your complete control over your information. Downloading and local storage access will be disabled for our team by default. This ensures that your information stays secure and confidential.
For end user computing, we use thin client devices.
Refer to the section on “System security and data confidentiality” for further details.
Team members working from their homes will provision broadband internet access, the cost of which will be reimbursed to them. Those working at Business Centers will have uninterrupted and fast wifi access.
We use Microsoft Outlook for emails. and MS Teams & Skype for business are our primary channels for meetings, calls and instant messages.
System security and data confidentiality
We regard with utmost importance, your concerns about how will we ensure that our team’s access to your systems is appropriately controlled and that your information stays confidential.
We have designed our processes and information technology infrastructure to sufficiently address your concerns. Key controls are summarized below:
